BRIEF
Would a stranger understand your app in five seconds — or would they bounce confused, polite, and gone forever?
TasteCourt puts your URL on trial. The verdict comes back in seconds — CRYSTAL CLEAR / CONFUSING / BOUNCING — backed by a 100-point rubric and a six-module case file (first-impression, visitor reads, bounce reasons, trust killers, strongest asset, above-the-fold rebuild order). Every verdict ends with a single money line: the exact sentence to rewrite first. Brutally honest. Built for builders, not ego.

PROCESS
01 · DIAGNOSE
Ran a sweep of first-time-visitor five-second tests across a stack of indie SaaS landing pages and coded the recurring failure patterns into a six-axis heuristic — outcome clarity, primary CTA, social proof, trust killers, demo evidence, and headline-to-fold fit.
02 · DESIGN
Built a verdict-first results UI that puts the headline answer (CONFUSING · 58/100) above every supporting module. Borrowed the case-file metaphor from court documents — terse, factual, ranked. Display set in a high-contrast italic serif so the verdict reads with judgment, not commentary; the rest stays in clean sans. Verdict Red is reserved for the verdict itself, the bounce killers, and the "Put my app on trial" CTA.
03 · DEPLOY
Shipped the URL trial flow with example case chips ("Judge a SaaS homepage", "Judge a creator landing page"), a six-module case file, a verdict gauge, and three one-click copy actions — Money Line, Caption, Full Verdict — so a builder can be back in their editor rewriting the headline within sixty seconds of pasting the URL.
VISUAL SYSTEM
The visual system borrows from court documents and judgment chambers — near-black panels, a verdict-red accent reserved for the answer (and the action that ships it), a high-contrast italic serif for display so the verdict reads with judgment, and a clean sans for evidence. The mark is a red set of scales — TasteCourt's idea of a fair trial: brutally honest, but helpful.

THE MONEY LINE
Every verdict ends with a single sentence — the money line — written so a founder can paste it straight back into their editor. It's the one rewrite that moves the score the most, set in a serif card so it reads like a decree, not advice. Copy → paste → ship.
